3. Nature & Outdoor Recreation

  • Trails, grasslands, lake updates

  • Wildlife, scenic photos, sunsets

  • Things to do outdoors

4. Ladonia History & Culture

  • Historic buildings, stories, artifacts

  • Local traditions

  • Photos from the past

5. Visitor-Friendly Content

  • Day trip or weekend itinerary ideas

  • “Best of Ladonia” lists

  • Reasons to visit / What to explore

  • User-generated photos (with permission)

6. Regional Events (Only When Relevant)

Only share if ALL are true:

  • It’s a major event with wide appeal

  • It adds value for visitors coming to the Ladonia area

  • It doesn’t compete with a Ladonia event

  • It helps position Ladonia within a vibrant region

  • Preferably part of a partnership or mutual promotion

Examples: county fair, major concerts, big holiday events, festivals.


WE SKIP THESE

1. Events or Promotions in Other Towns (Most of Them)

  • Routine weekly events in Bonham, Honey Grove, Commerce, etc.

  • Daily restaurant specials from other towns

  • Small fundraisers not tied to Ladonia

2. Content That Dilutes the Ladonia Brand

  • Posts that make the feed feel like a county-wide calendar

  • Content where Ladonia is not the focus or connection point

3. Political or Controversial Issues

  • Local politics

  • Advocacy, opinions, or election content

4. Crime, Emergencies, or Negative News

Exceptions only if it directly affects visitor access.

5. Personal Announcements

  • Birthdays, personal fundraisers (unless town-impacting)

  • Lost pets, missing items, or local gossip

6. Irrelevant National/Internet Content

  • Memes unrelated to Ladonia

  • Viral trends without local context


🎯 Simple Rule of Thumb

If it promotes Ladonia, builds community pride, or enhances the Ladonia visitor experience → SHARE IT.
If it shifts attention away from Ladonia or doesn’t help tell Ladonia’s story → SKIP IT.
