Visit Ladonia – Official Posting Policy
Effective Date: 11/14/25
Purpose: To guide all content decisions for Visit Ladonia’s website and social platforms in order to maintain a clear brand identity, promote local assets, and support sustainable economic development.
1. Mission Alignment
All content published through Visit Ladonia must support one or more of the following goals:
- Promote tourism to Ladonia, Texas
Highlight attractions, events, history, amenities, outdoor activities, and unique local culture. - Increase community pride and engagement
Inform residents about what’s happening locally to strengthen connection and participation. - Enhance Ladonia’s visibility within the region
Position Ladonia as an emerging destination and a desirable place to visit, invest, or relocate.
Content that does not advance at least one of these goals should not be posted.
2. Geographic Priorities
Content should follow this order of priority:
Tier 1 – Ladonia (Primary Focus | 75–80% of content)
✔ Ladonia events, activities, businesses, parks, history
✔ City, Chamber, library, school, and community group announcements
✔ Ladonia-adjacent outdoor recreation (e.g., trails, Lake Ralph Hall access)
✔ Ladonia news related to tourism, growth, or community development
Tier 2 – Greater Ladonia Area (Secondary | 10–15%)
Areas within a ~10–15 minute drive that residents or visitors naturally consider part of the Ladonia experience.
Examples: Pecan Gap, Petty area, surrounding rural attractions or businesses.
✔ Only if relevant to visitors or enhances a Ladonia visit
✔ Must not overshadow Ladonia events
Tier 3 – Regional Events (Limited | 5–10%)
Fannin County or nearby towns (e.g., Bonham, Wolfe City, Honey Grove, Commerce).
Regional posts must meet all of the following criteria:

A major event with broad interest (festivals, concerts, parades, fairs)

No similar opportunity exists in Ladonia

Enhances the overall visitor experience

Complementary to Ladonia, not competitive

Ideally part of a partnership or reciprocal promotion
Examples of acceptable regional posts:

✔ Large concerts or festivals within the county
✔ Special seasonal events (Christmas, 4th of July, etc.)
✔ Major tourism draws or unique experiences
✔ Outdoor recreation opportunities connected to the region
Examples of non-acceptable regional posts:
✘ Weekly menus or small business promos from other towns
✘ Regular events unrelated to Ladonia’s offering
✘ Content that distracts from the Ladonia brand

To ensure a balanced and appealing feed, content can include:

5. Partner Promotion Guidelines
Visit Ladonia may share content from:

Select regional partners (reciprocal preferred)
When sharing regional content:

General recommended pace:

This policy should be reviewed annually or as the town’s tourism offerings grow, especially after the development of Lake Ralph Hall’s recreational facilities and any new business openings.
